Wonder how your little ones will hold up when it’s time to go to kindergarten?
Parents choose different options before sending their child off to “big school”. They may choose to keep them at home, send them to daycare, or have them attend a more structured preschool program. No matter the option, ensuring your child is ready for the transition can help leave parents with a peace of mind and make for a more successful first school year.
Preschool prep tutoring is a great way to give your little one a glimpse into some of the content they will come across in Kindergarten. These shorter sessions are designed to (1) expose your kiddo to foundational skills needed for school and (2) teach them how to use tools (ie: charts, visuals, songs) to help them feel independent as they build on those skills.
Some key areas that are covered during tutoring include:
- Letter identification and sound recognition
- Number recognition (symbol and amount) for 1-12
- Basic colors and shapes
- Fine motor skills
Preschool prep tutoring is held for 30-45 minutes twice a week and can be done individually or with a friend.
